The original seven roommates from MTV’s The Real World: New York are reuniting for a Homecoming on Paramount+.
Picture this…moving back in with you roommates from 30 years ago. Yikes! This is exactly what the original cast of The Real World: New York has agreed to endure for the launch of Paramount+.
CBS All Access has rebranded to Paramount+ and will debut the multi-episode docuseries on March 4. The series, The Real World Homecoming: New York, will include all seven original of the MTV housemates.
Created by Mary-Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray, The Real World debuted about 30 years ago on MTV. Said to be “the true story of seven strangers picked to live in a loft and have their lives taped,” The Real World helped launch the modern reality TV genre.
Below is a first look at the original cast nearly three decades after the original airing of the show.
Bottom row, from left, are Becky Blasband and Norman Korpi. In the top row, from left, are Kevin Powell, Eric Nies, Julie Gentry, Heather B. Gardener, and Andre Comeau.
Homecoming went into production recently in NYC and surprisingly, the network was able to obtain the same SoHo loft where the original The Real World: New York was filmed!
Keep an eye out on March 4th for the premier of The Real World Homecoming: New York, on Paramount+.
